Another Stellar Use of the 3D Design E89 Components

Leave a comment »As the North American distributor for 3D Design Japan it is vital that when setting up our stateside operation one of our top priorities was locating a good master dealer for Canada. Based on our previous experience with MW Design as a Eisenmann dealer we knew their approach to tuning fell inline with the brand image of 3D Design. From the point of establishment as the Canadian based master dealer they have delivered with eye popping 3D Design E89′s. This project featured below was designated Slingshot. This name pays homage to the elegant, but sporty design of the E89 chassis. The rear of the vehicle features a one off paint scheme performed on the aggressive, but clean 3D Design rear diffuser. The animated 3D Design diffuser frames a Eisenmann 4 x 90mm down pipe-back black series exhaust. Too complete the rear end MW Design utilized the 3D Design trunk spoiler. Further contributing their taste in design MW Design created a carbon vinyl scheme on the trunk portion carrying onto the 3D Design trunk spoiler.

The type 3 forged is a light weight design avaialble in both 19 and 20 inch diameters. The wheel is avaialble in the perfect offsets for the E90 and F10 chassis. Intially released to the market in hyper black and bi-color, the Type 3 forged wheel is now available in a smooth matte black finish. Taking cues from roadsters of BMW’s past the E89 toes the line between a classic roadster and a modern prototype. Following their traditional design philosophy 3D Design chose to refine the already beautiful lines of the E89. This project features the 3D Design front lip and trunk spoiler. All work is performed by the 3D Design Canadian master dealer MW Design.

3D Design Power Steering Reservoir Attachment

Leave a comment »Although this not a new release for 3D Design Japan, the power steering reservoir attachment is now available for North American clientele. Under extreme conditions it is very common knowledge that the BMW power steering reservoir is prone to leaking. Besides this creating a messy engine bay a unfortunate byproduct is cavitation due to the air and fluid mixture. The result is a decrease in steering feel. The 3D Design reservoir attachment is designed to solve this common issue and fits directly on top of the existing BMW reservoir. The 3D piece does require a additional 35mm of height clearance above the factory reservoir.
